The Historic Marbold Farmstead is a treasured jewel in Menard County, Illinois. The farmstead is located at 21722 State Highway 29, approximately one mile south of Greenview and 20 miles north of the state capital, Springfield.   Currently, the Historic Marbold Farmstead Association and the Farmstead's supporters are working to prepare the site for visits and viewing by the public.

This website is managed by the Historic Marbold Farmstead Association (HMFA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of the Marbold family legacy and acquisition and restoration of the farmstead property.

Explore the rich history of this land and learn how you can help us turn the neglected farmstead into a beautiful living museum to be treasured by generations to come.

Due to ongoing preservation projects, the Historic Marbold Farmstead currently is open by appointment only.  Feel free to call Charlotte Wohler at 968-5808 or Susan Wilson at 415-1239.
