Third Annual Marbold Farmstead Antique Show
Saturday, June 27, 2015

This year's show was challenging for the grounds crew as the Farmstead had experienced record-breaking rainfall during the previous week.  Mud was a factor, but due to the efforts of many volunteers, the show went on as scheduled.

In addition to the nearly 20 antique dealers who offered country primitives, furniture, textiles, pottery and Americana for sale, period craftsmen were on site to demonstrate their skills in basket weaving, hat making, spinning, quilting, rag rug weaving and other crafts.  Tours of the house and grounds were led by Barbara Van Dyke-Brown, a Marbold descendant. Sandwiches, desserts, and beverages were also available to those attending.  Dealers who participated were as follows:

The First Annual Historic Marbold Antique Show was held on Saturday, June 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The hard work of the planning committee resulted in a very successful event.

The event was held at the Marbold Farmstead with admission at $5 ($1 for those ages 5-12).   Ribeye and pork chop sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, homemade desserts, and beverages were available to purchase.  Vendors demonstrated basket weaving, broom making, and quilting.  Kettle corn and goat milk soap was also available.

A drawing for two $25 Casey's gift cards was held at 4 p.m.  Beginning at 9:30 a.m., drawings for "Marbold Money" were held every half hour.  "Marbold Money"could be used at any antique dealer or vendor booth.
